Rheumatoid Factor (Qualitative)

The Rheumatoid Factor (RF) Qualitative Test is a screening blood test used to detect the presence of rheumatoid factors in your blood. Rheumatoid factors are proteins produced by your immune system that can mistakenly attack healthy tissue in your body (autoantibodies).

Unlike a quantitative test, which measures the exact amount of these antibodies, a qualitative test gives a straightforward Yes or No answer: it determines whether the rheumatoid factor is present above a certain threshold (Positive) or not (Negative).
