Lipoprotein A

Lipoprotein A is a specific type of low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or bad cholesterol) that is bound to a protein called Apolipoprotein-a (Apo A). Unlike standard LDL cholesterol levels, which fluctuate based on diet, exercise, and lifestyle, your Lp(a) level is highly determined by your genetics and remains relatively constant throughout your life.
